Beauty & Lifestyle

Who said that playsuits were just for summer?
They are so versatile and can be dressed with flip flops, or like I have here, with tights, a cardigan, a scarf and boots.
I've linked a similar one: HERE - put together with this colour cardigan, matches really well with the floral design on the playsuit.

It only comes in one size fits all, but I would say it fits sizes 6-10 (UK size).
It was my first time ordering from Shein UK, as I know there are all sorts of reviews about the site. They sell clothing and accessories but at low prices. My experience was completely fine, and their delivery was quick (7 days). A trick I would say is if I really like an item, I would check all the reviews as a lot of people upload pictures of them wearing the items of clothing which gave me a good judgement on weather I would like the items or not.

The cardigan, scarf and boots are from Primark - They do a few different colours in this cardigan (I have one in maroon too), and they are great to chuck on with any outfit.

Hello lovelies! - Cornwall have a number of National Trust gardens (if you are a member, you get into those places for free). They are a great day out, and you are able to catch some great photos as the scenery is lovely!
Me and my husband went to visit Trelissick Gardens, which is about 4 miles out of Truro. It's gorgeous and it's set within a stately home with lot's of walking places through the gardens - It was perfect at this time of the year as all the leaves have changed colour and falling on the ground.

There is also a gift shop and a cafe (We couldn't resist one of their yummy cakes). If you know me, whenever there is a cafe, I just have to try their cakes & hot drinks (festive drinks are a must in November/December!).

This place was the ideal opportunity to show you my outfit. This jumper dress and gilet are from Primark. Primark at the moment have some fab autumn/winter peices! The gilet was £13 and this dress (also has button details on the sleeves) I think was £8 or £10 - bargain!
My shoes are from Marks and Spencer for £35. I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them, and they will be so versatile for this time of year. They run quite small (I got a 4.5 UK size - I'm normally a 5) I adore wearing dresses, skirts with tights in the colder months.

Me and my husband are currently staying at Hoar Cross Hall. It's a gorgeous venue in Burton-upon-Trent (for my friends wedding).
We had a look on their website and saw that they do afternoon tea, and you all know how much I love afternoon tea!
I thought I would write a blog post for you so you can see how lovely it is!

They offer 3 different afternoon tea's which you can find:HERE

I would advice you to book beforehand to avoid disappointment.
We certainty weren't disappointed with this afternoon tea (we did the classic option - £20 each). You get a selection of finger sandwiches, plain and fruit scone with jam & clotted cream and a selection of homemade cakes/macarons.
They do offer a box if you can't eat all of the food - we were stuffed so had to! :)

We would highly recommend this afternoon tea if you are ever in the area. When you book a night stay, you get breakfast and use of the spa facilities (in our room we had a jet bath, so it felt like a spa in the bathroom)

I love playsuits. They are such a simple outfit idea, but can make you look really feminine and girly. This New Look one is gorgeous (I've had it for a couple of years now, but online, they still do some really great ones). I love the flower design and paired with these Primark sandals, gives this outfit a summery look.

I like the cut out design in the middle, as it's not showing too much skin, but just a little to give this look a much more classy feel.

It's been a glorious weekend here in the UK and I thought no better time to explore the outdoors and stop off at a coffee shop for a bite to eat.
We both had a walk around Trentham Garden centre - which is a garden centre in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire. They have a huge garden which you can spend a day there with a picnic, and on a hot summer day, it's a really lovely day out - The gardens are is separate from the garden centre and is an extra cost.

We decided to stop off at a cafe called Manna kitchen. It's located just next to the entrance to the gardens.

My husband had a chicken & pesto toastie, a rocky road cake & a hot chocolate - how cute is this drink presented in this mason jar! Great idea!
I went for their carrot cake & a cup of tea. Their carrot cake is gorgeous - lovely and moist and the cream cheese frosting is so yummy too!

What I like about this cafe is the rustic feel with the plates and cups. I love little touches like that :)

Here, you can share your photo online of the gardens and you could have yours featured here!

They offer all sorts of food, from soup of the day, toasties, baguettes, cakes, cookies, muffins and brownies. They also have a number of hot and cold drinks which cater for everyone.
They have a board to show specials and also deals with tea or coffee and a slice of cake.

I always like to try out different cafe's and one's that are tucked away and have a quirky feel to them.

What new cafe's have you tried recently?

If you are anything like me and one of your favourite things to do is have a nice cuppa and a slice of cake, then this cute coffee shop is right up your street. Tsp is situated in Hanley, Stoke-On-Trent within the Cultural Quarter and has been mine and my husbands favourite coffee shops for a while now, and when I found out that they were doing high tea, I jumped at the chance at trying it out. As I surprised my husband for his birthday,I thought it was the perfect time!
Tsp are known for their yummy cupcakes. It's been a bit of a tradition as we go there at a weekend and enjoy a hot drink & a cake and watch the world go by. It's a really friendly coffee shop, and the staff that work there are so friendly and helpful, which makes the experience much more better! My favourite cupcake is the ferrero rocher. They offer other food and beverages too, from sandwiches, salads and bagels & latte, filter coffee, and what's called a cupcake (which is a milkshake with a whole cupcake on top!)

There is seating downstairs and upstairs, but you have to spot a space quick as it gets busy on a weekend!
This is a nice little section where you can listen to music :)
Who is this little one?

Okay, so onto the high tea (doesn't it look so lovely!). It costs £26 for 2 people and booking is essential. £10 deposit is taken to secure your booking and you pay the rest when you arrive.
There is a selection of finger sandwiches, bagels, cupcakes, scones and macarons. Tea and coffee is included too.

One thing I love about afternoon tea, is that you have everything you need for lunch and it's so filling!
The sandwiches/bagels tasted lovely, lot's of flavour and I loved how cute the sizes were. The idea of a scone on top of a cupcake is a really nice touch from the traditional afternoon tea.
I have a love for macaron's, and these were no exception - crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle! They tasted divine and If Tsp ever offer macaron's in a gift box (like ladauree) then I would definitely buy them (please? haha).
I have never tried Tsp's brownies before as I have always gone for a cupcake, but these were gorgeous! Rich in flavour, but just how a brownie should be - not too sweet, just right :)
It definitely went down well with the both of us anwyay!
Nothing is more British than having a nice cup of tea, and you are given loose leaf tea and this cute little bottle which holds the milk in. I love little things like this.

Overall, I would highly recommend going here if you are ever in the area. We will be visiting again soon and will be booking high tea again in the near future.

Let me know if you know of any other places you have been where you have enjoyed having afternoon tea - I would love to read them :)

I've wanted to write this post for a while, but over the past several months of tests and reading up on my personality type, I wanted to sit down and explain what it's like being an INFJ.
I am with the 1-2% population of this type. the rarest of all. Only since I have become older, I have come to understand why I am so 'different' to most of the other people I know.
Some characteristics of this personality type are:

* We are perfectionists - even with ourselves. I have always liked things organised and in order, I respect other people's way of living, I just enjoy being organised and sorting things, making sure things are put in a correct place. Oddly, I enjoy cleaning, it's a bit like therapy to me, it's releases a sense of stress for me and knowing places are clean and tidy. I am always in battle of how I should be, how I should live my live.

* We are shy. Actually, no we are not. You would be surprised as when you first meet us, we are quiet, but for me, that's just my way of figuring people out. I can tell you my best friend would tell you this, once you get to know me, I can be such a confident person. So, with the right people and once I trust someone, I can totally open up and be a completely different person. I can often feel 'out of place' and i'm always wanting friends that truly understand me, and when I have that, I want to make sure they are in my life for a long time. I think this is a reason why I have very few close friends and not lot's of acquaintances.

* Able to see into someones soul. A strange one I know, but this brings me onto this point. I am good at spotting when someone is either being fake or not themselves. I feel emotions very easily and it only takes someone tone of voice, their body language or even a text message for me to figure out that something is wrong. I find people can always trust me in telling me their problems and because an INFJ can feel emotions the most over any other personality type, we can get quite caught up in others and miss out on what is going on in our lives ourselves.

* Alone Time. Every INFJ or introvert will understand how important it is to have their alone time. Don't get me wrong I love spending time with others, either on a night out or for a meal/shopping, but once the day ends, I find nothing better then to have a bath, put my pj's on and just sit alone, either on my phone, reading, or watching YouTube videos. Many people have a wrong idea in that we are 'anti-social' but i'm not, I just have to have my alone time to re-charge. I think also, as an only child, my freedom and alone time has been a major part of my life as it's made me a more independent person. I really dislike someone who get into my personal space and are very smothering. Sitting here now and writing this blog post, i'm in my little alone time element :)

* Introverted. Oh yes, that word. Introvert. I'm the 'quiet one', 'shy one', 'doesn't talk much'. The reason I don't talk a lot is a sense of not belonging, or just because I'm an observer. For example: Whenever I am in a group, you will most likely find me at the back, observing what others have to say and do, how they are talking and their body language. I never crave to be centre of attention, especially in a group situation. It was always a dreaded day at school if I ever had to sit on a table at the front and I could see everyone sitting behind me! It felt like others were invading my space. I find being an introvert has made me more aware of myself and my surroundings.

* Writing more than speaking. Public speaking is one of my most negative traits. It's my worst nightmare to stand up in a huge crowd and talk. Even when I am talking on a one to one basis, there are many times I get my words jumbled up, even though I know what I mean in my head. Having time to write this blog post is much better than trying to explain it! They do say INFJ's become the best writers :)

* Not knowing everything about me. I have been told before that their are many layers to actually getting to know me. At first, I am like a closed door, it takes me a while to open to someone, and even the people that I have opened up to, are still yet to find out more things about me. I love the feeling of becoming someone no one thought I would be.

* Creative. I love all things creative. Art, photography, interior design. music, theatre. I think this is why I love Instagram, Pinterest and blogs so much as I can express my love of creativity through that. Music plays a massive role in my life, I could sit for hours just listening to my favourite songs and never get bored.

* Thirst for knowlege. This is probably a contradiction itself as I'm thirsty for knowledge, but never like asking for anything. However, I'm always interested in how we are, how humans do the things they do and why they do it. Also, always trying to make the world a better place, but not wanting the attention from the result. I'm always interested in the world, different countries and cultures and why things work and don't work. I'm always on the look out to learn and grow.

* Sensory. As INFJ's sense emotions, I find I have a sense of happiness in the simplest of things, for example: the wind blowing in the trees, the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, the sound of rain on an umbrella or the smell from a local bakery. All those things I find make me happy. The little things. I can be completely entwined with what's going on around me at all times.

* We don't like conflict. I hate conflict and try my best to get along with other's as much as possible, which, can be a bad thing as I know people can 'walk all over you' if you don't stand up for yourself, and I can bottle my emotions up too much. Going back to feeling too many emotions, I can fall out with someone, but then always put the blame on myself and wonder what the other person is thinking, but I can give people too many chances that they deserve.

I think I have covered some of many points with the INFJ personality. Even if 1 person can relate to this, that would be great!
Since I discovered I was an INFJ, I've spent hours and hours looking up characteristics and other qualities and it's really interesting and scarily accurate on how this personality type is.
