Beauty & Lifestyle

Cornwall have so many lovely photo opportunities, I feel like I'm on a roll with these outfit of the day shots! - I only really get time at the weekend at home to do any outfit shots, but being on holiday in this gorgeous destination, I've taken the time to show you what items I've been wearing!

I think this outfit gives the most autumnal vibes! I adore these colours together and they go so well with this plaid scarf.

This jumper is from Primark and it's got slight flare sleeves. I was drawn to the colour first as it's perfect for this time of year!
I'm not sure where I had my jeans from as I've had them for a few years.
I'm wearing Clarks boots (also a few years old) and this plaid scarf, I got from Amazon.
My bag is from House of Fraser.

Who said that playsuits were just for summer?
They are so versatile and can be dressed with flip flops, or like I have here, with tights, a cardigan, a scarf and boots.
I've linked a similar one: HERE - put together with this colour cardigan, matches really well with the floral design on the playsuit.

It only comes in one size fits all, but I would say it fits sizes 6-10 (UK size).
It was my first time ordering from Shein UK, as I know there are all sorts of reviews about the site. They sell clothing and accessories but at low prices. My experience was completely fine, and their delivery was quick (7 days). A trick I would say is if I really like an item, I would check all the reviews as a lot of people upload pictures of them wearing the items of clothing which gave me a good judgement on weather I would like the items or not.

The cardigan, scarf and boots are from Primark - They do a few different colours in this cardigan (I have one in maroon too), and they are great to chuck on with any outfit.

Today was one of those days which calls for a bobble hat. It was a little windy today in Cornwall, but these kind of hats keep your ears and head warm in those colder months.

The one I am wearing is from Primark and I love it! They do all sorts of designs and colours, and they make an outfit super chic.

I've also gone for an autumnal theme with my outfit (All of my outfit if from Primark, but paired with my Marks and Spencer shoes). The jumper I am wearing comes in all different colours and I'm wanting to get my hands on a few more for when winter comes round. It was so warm and the neck line is not too high - It would also look lovely with a chunky neckless or plaid scarf.

Also, how adorable is this skirt?! It's corduroy and in this gorgeous maroon colour (They also have them in black). It was a bargain at £8 and I'm sure that Primark still have these in stores! I would say it runs true to size, I'm wearing a size 8 and it's fits fine.

I also wore these shoes in my previous outfit blog post, but I wanted to show you how you can wear them with different outfits. They are super girly, and I love the vintage feel.

Hello lovelies! - Cornwall have a number of National Trust gardens (if you are a member, you get into those places for free). They are a great day out, and you are able to catch some great photos as the scenery is lovely!
Me and my husband went to visit Trelissick Gardens, which is about 4 miles out of Truro. It's gorgeous and it's set within a stately home with lot's of walking places through the gardens - It was perfect at this time of the year as all the leaves have changed colour and falling on the ground.

There is also a gift shop and a cafe (We couldn't resist one of their yummy cakes). If you know me, whenever there is a cafe, I just have to try their cakes & hot drinks (festive drinks are a must in November/December!).

This place was the ideal opportunity to show you my outfit. This jumper dress and gilet are from Primark. Primark at the moment have some fab autumn/winter peices! The gilet was £13 and this dress (also has button details on the sleeves) I think was £8 or £10 - bargain!
My shoes are from Marks and Spencer for £35. I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them, and they will be so versatile for this time of year. They run quite small (I got a 4.5 UK size - I'm normally a 5) I adore wearing dresses, skirts with tights in the colder months.

Me and my husband are currently staying at Hoar Cross Hall. It's a gorgeous venue in Burton-upon-Trent (for my friends wedding).
We had a look on their website and saw that they do afternoon tea, and you all know how much I love afternoon tea!
I thought I would write a blog post for you so you can see how lovely it is!

They offer 3 different afternoon tea's which you can find:HERE

I would advice you to book beforehand to avoid disappointment.
We certainty weren't disappointed with this afternoon tea (we did the classic option - £20 each). You get a selection of finger sandwiches, plain and fruit scone with jam & clotted cream and a selection of homemade cakes/macarons.
They do offer a box if you can't eat all of the food - we were stuffed so had to! :)

We would highly recommend this afternoon tea if you are ever in the area. When you book a night stay, you get breakfast and use of the spa facilities (in our room we had a jet bath, so it felt like a spa in the bathroom)

If anyone knows me well, you will know that one of my favourite things to do is go for afternoon tea. I love relaxing with lot's of tea, sandwiches and cake for a few hours enjoying the surroundings.

Me and my husband decided to book a day off work and book our afternoon tea at Crewe Hall. We have been here a few times before and we were very lucky to get married in such a beautiful venue - It's based in Crewe, Cheshire, so if you are ever in the area, I would highly recommend trying this out (booking is essential).

We managed to purchase a deal through Groupon which was an amazing deal -we are both never disappointed with the food here, it's always to a high standard.

There are two options when booking this afternoon tea. There is the traditional and prosecco version.

You have the option to choose which flavour tea you would like, but you have the option to have traditional breakfast tea (which is always a favourite of mine). You can also choose a variety of coffee (unlimited at no extra cost).

There are a selection of sandwiches, fruit and plain scones with clotted cream and jam and a range of homemade cakes.

If you are would like to book, you can follow the link: HERE
The menu is also available on their website.

Summery dresses are one of my go to statements in my wardrobe. They can be simple or floral, but each one is easy to style with either flats or heels if you want to go that girly look.

I booked a day off work and decided to go for afternoon tea at a place called Crewe Hall. It has amazing grounds and I thought it would be an ideal opportunity to take a few shots of this dress that I got recently.

Believe it or not, I managed to spot this Red Herring dress in a charity shop for a bargain price!
It's in fab condition and the quality is lovely.
I love the belt which pulls in at the waist and then flows out like a skater dress. It falls just above the knees which gives this dress a classy feel. I paired it with my Clarks heels which are super comfy!

This dress is perfect for days like today, but also if you are attending a wedding as a guest or even for a day at the races.

I love playsuits. They are such a simple outfit idea, but can make you look really feminine and girly. This New Look one is gorgeous (I've had it for a couple of years now, but online, they still do some really great ones). I love the flower design and paired with these Primark sandals, gives this outfit a summery look.

I like the cut out design in the middle, as it's not showing too much skin, but just a little to give this look a much more classy feel.

Hello Sweetie Cupcakery is a cafe in York Place (arcade) in Newcastle-Under-Lyme town centre. If you are looking for a cafe that has everything to please your sweet tooth, then this is a place that you need to visit!
The staff are super friendly and welcoming and it makes the whole experience so much nicer.

They have dotted around, quotes on the walls (which are cute touches) & old fashioned pictures of Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra which gives the place a nice 1950's/1960's feel!

They are known for their yummy cupcakes which are all home made and they taste so good! There are also other home made bakes too, including these two which are traditional polish cheesecake & rocky road.

My husband went for the Kit Kat cupcake & I went for the Cookies & Cream.
There's so many more choices from: Crunchie, Maple & Pecan, Jaffa Cake etc.

They not only do sweet treats, but also savory choices too! I had a bagel with cream cheese & salmon and it tasted lovely! My husband had a toastie - with a choice of filling from, cheese, ham & cheese or ham, cheese & tomato.

There is a wide range of hot and cold drinks available from tea, coffees, hot chocolate, milkshakes.

A loyalty card is available for you to collect stamps. Once you have collected 6 stamps you can get a free cupcake!

It really is a lovely cafe, and I would highly recommend going there if you are ever in the area :)
